Painting in black and white
Like a lion in a cage, I can circle the canvas on the floor for a very long time before launching into my work. With a can of black paint in one hand and a brush in the other, I wait for the moment. Music accompanies me and gives rhythm to this ritual. I let my moods and emotions take over. Then comes the explosion, the spontaneous expression of this energy that I translate into gesture. It's a dance, a battle with myself, with paint as my weapon.
Sometimes, for certain paintings, I decide to go further, to explore deeper, to construct. I let my conscious mind add its own touch... as freely as possible.
Paintings in black and white or in color , it's not a question of mood but of desire, it can be one or the other, sometimes both at the same time!
